2007 Umzug des Antiquariats M+R Fricke nach Berlin
Unser Schwerpunkt sind die Avantgarden des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts der Gebiete Kunst, Architektur, Fotografie und Künstlerbücher der 1960er Jahre bis heute. Passend zum Angebot aus dem Antiquariat haben wir Ausstellungen organisiert mit Objekten (das Bauhaus, Plakate der 20er und 30er Jahre, u.a.) und vor allem mit vergriffenen Künstlerbüchern von Künstlern, in deren Werk das Buch eine vorrangige Stellung einnimmt, wie beispielsweise James Lee Byars, A. R. Penck, Mario Merz, Lawrence Weiner, Dieter Roth, Gilbert und George.
Parallel zur Antiquariatsarbeit führen wir seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre eine Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst mit internationalem Programm. Die Galerie M + R Fricke ist seit 1997 in Berlin ansässig.

1978 Marion and Roswitha Fricke founded the antiquarian bookshop in Berlin
1979 move to Düsseldorf, West Germany
1981 opening of a specialist bookshop in Düsseldorf (art, architecture, photography and design of the 20th century)
2007 relocation of the antiquarian bookshop to Berlin
Our focus is on avantgarde of the 20th and 21st centuries in the fields of art, architecture, photography and artist books from the 1960s up to today. Suitable for the offer of the antiquarian bookshop we have organized exhibitions with objects (Bauhaus, Posters from the 20s and 30s, and more) and especially rare artist books by artists, in whose work the book takes priority, like James Lee Byars, A. R. Penck, Mario Merz, Lawrence Weiner, Dieter Roth, Gilbert and George, and others.
In addition to the antiquarian work, we opened in the mid-1980s a contemporary art gallery with an international program.
The gallery M + R Fricke is located in Berlin since 1997.
